URAMADO, Julie Stephen Chheng
Julie Stephen Chheng is an artist and designer who graduated from the École des Arts Décoratifs de Paris. Through her projects, she combines drawing, storytelling, scenography and digital technologies to create interactive and sensory experiences, bringing illustration to life in real-world spaces. Her work explores, in particular, our relationship with nature, play and the imagination.
With Uramado AR, she invites visitors to encounter the Tanukis, forest spirits hidden throughout the exhibition space. Using an augmented reality app, these creatures come to life along the way and interact with the public.
Combining a treasure hunt, play and exploration, Uramado AR blurs the boundaries between the real world and the imaginary. At the end of the journey, each participant discovers their associated spirit and leaves with their own mask and augmented reality character.
